company orderly sgt aka company only slave - COS
I'm finally home for the wkend! What a way to spend saturday...in camp. I reported back to camp early yesterday morn at ard 8am to do some saikang but ended up being told by my sgt to stay back to perform COS duty cos he noticed that I'm the only one in the grp staying back (not going Australia) who only has 1 COS duty(the least lorz).
The sadness comes from the fact tt I can't meet up wif Kenneth and Hui Jian for the NJ Open House! Sianz, we were intending to pose as sec sch students visiting lorz, imagine the fun I could've had wif them! Well, Hui Jian told me not much chio bu to see, guess he was quite disappointed lorz, hehe. The other fact is tt I'll be missing out the wkend football matches (my fav pasttime lehz =( )!
My duty involves staying in the coy office most of the time to handle phone calls or any admin work to be done between the S1 to S4 and the coy level. We also had to do cookhouse duty which usually involves making sure the ppl queue up properly for their food. The only stupidity about my duty yesterday was tt there was very little ppl having their meals at the cookhouse lorz, most of the men in the unit bk out long ago, so there was nothing for me to do at the cookhouse as well. In the end, I sat out my duty time at the cookhouse stoning.
Back at the coy office, where there is air-con fortunately, I had nothing to do, no calls to handle since there's not many ppl from our unit ard (like I said b4). All I did at the office was listen to Perfect10 and read my novel which btw, I managed to finish reading (imagine how much time I had!). Our tank platoon's 'dearest' Sgt Kenny was performing BOS(battalion orderly sgt) duty and whenever he's free, he'll jus come to the office and play his handphone or chat a little wif me lorz, sian.
It was ultimate boredom larz, in conclusion. Staying in on a saturday sucks big time. Doing nothing while staying in sucks even bigger time. At least if I'm doing something productive I've less complaints. Wasting my precious wkend in camp doing nothing but read my storybk is very sad for me lorz, I sms lotsa ppl hoping to chat but few replies came, sian sian. No wonder COS is also known as company only slave. The only good thing is tt the normal COS is very very busy wif lotsa phone calls to do this do that lorz.
