testing times Life aft JC seems to be testing times for many ppl. From the nicks of my frens in MSN, esp the gals, seems that many of them are feelin' rather stressed now by schwk. Guess the transition from JC to uni is a rather huge step which is not easy to get used to. From what I hear, seems to me that the learning is very very independent unlike in JC when u're still 'spoonfed' to a certain extent...having to plan ur own time table, bidding for the lect n tutorial periods of the wk...having to bid for which modules u wan to go for...buying the txtbks recommended by the lecturers on ur own...I guess 'the other side's grass is always greener'. For me being in NS, how I hope I was studying now. But I hear some of my seniors who've ORD-ed from NS and are now studying in uni talking bt how they miss their NSF days. Many of us now do not have lotsa contact wif close buddies we used to have in our sec sch or JC days who we can confide in and get some advice or relax a bit by toking cok. That's y during wkends I always hope to chat wif some of my gd gd frens but there seems to be little to tok abt besides asking those normal questions like, "how's life?", "how's sch?", etc. Sometimes I feel really lost, not knowing what I can really do which is useful cos in NS, there's free time when you can choose to just sleep them all away or read up something useful lorz. There're times when I just can't decide what I shud be reading besides novels. During wkends, how I wish I can get my buddies out just to have a meal or just walk ard, slack, chit chat and so on...haha...but I guess I'm too lazy to ask ppl out or the other reason is that I dunno who I shud get too...hmm... posted by sc @
