*sigh*

Well, as I type this entry in the blog, my grandpa is struggling to survive in the ICA at SGH. It's an experience I've nvr encountered in my life...having a very close loved one about to leave for good. Lots of our relatives appeared at the hospital today to visit him for probably one last time lorz. Sadness is definitely an understatement of my feelings now but I've already prepared myself mentally a long time ago(some very unusual behaviour from my grandpa told me something isn't right...) Thus, the blow won't be too great.

I'd have to say I've learnt a lot within this past few mths wif my grandpa getting hospitalised and discharged many times. I'd have to say for normal ppl, no matter how one tries to prepare oneself for the worse(tt he'd be leaving this world for good), he can nvr be fully prepared lorz. Cos one would be moving on to 'unchartered terroritory' of the living and it is without company. I'd say it's a scary feeling lahz, having to leave behind his loved ones and 'going' alone.

The time near one's last breath is the time when one is most vulnerable, especially if he's unwilling to 'go'. He's willing to try anything tt might give him a chance of survival. This is also the time when your mental strength is very important. A person wif a stronger will power will survive longer though inevitably will eventually succumb. An interesting fact is tt the person usually possesses a very strong will power if there is 'unfinished business' such as wanting to see somebody b4 he goes etc.

I duno how I'll react when the time comes larz, cos no one can tell how long he'll hold. What's for sure is tt he's too ill to fully recover lorz...

a rather lucky life taken for granted

Hmm, jus got home frm another wonderful pa outing! Had a little chat wif Laura on the mrt(which for no reason made me think abt my life so far, lol) and it only struck me later on tt I've been really quite lucky at some pts in time in my life lorz.

There were many instances in secondary sch. When I first came to CSS in sec1, I only intended to change my character as an introvert lorz. After the first few days, I told myself I'll b the quiet person who keeps to himself most of the time for my sec sch life. Well, for those who noe me, tt din turn out to be the case, haha. I was nominated by my civics tutor to join the prefectorial board(much to my surprise and reluctance). In the prefectorial board, I only intended to do the bare minimum lorz. But whenever any duties are assigned to me, it is usually my habit to try my best in completing them. In sec3, already converted to a councillor, some of us were selected to run for the ex-co positions in the council. Unexpectedly, the introverted Phua Sze Chao is in the nominees, lol. We were the first batch of councillors in CSS running for ex-co positions and were expected to campaign and the sch population had to vote for us. We made speeches and stuff lorz, which I can tell u my performance was terrible!! I was super-introverted lorz, and making public speeches and approaching strangers is definitely not my forte. It wasn't greatly emphasised but the votes isn't the definite factor in selecting the ex-co. I was elected to be the VP and I can say it is definitely not based on the votes lorz. It's impossible tt I have the 2nd most votes in sch, haha. It was our senior batch of ex-co who carefully handpicked the ex-co so tt we could work together well. My character perfectly compliments Jiing Shyuan's outspoken, extroverted nature of leadership. How can 2 outspoken leaders ever work together rite?

It was tough work as a VP initially. I've been thru' many leadership training courses and camps to noe what is required of me as a student leader and these attributes I really do not possess at all. One of the main ones is self-confidence. In order not to disappoint my seniors who chose me and to prove to the sch population tt they din make the wrong choice, I had to behave like a confident leader on the outside when I wasn't. But after a while, I got used to the work of the council's VP and when I settled down, the self-confidence became natural and I din panic tt much(like initially) whenever I encounter problems. 1 of the great things to happen to me was to mix ard wif the ex-co of my batch namely Jiing Shyuan, Yihua, Celestina, Hui Wen, Shaiful, Zannury and Dulcibella. These ppl played a major part in changing me into a person better suited for new environments...more extroverted, more confident of myself, making it easier for me to make new friends. The majority of schmates I made in CSS were only made at the end of sec3 and the whole of sec4 lorz, ppl like Wen You, Wee Kiong, Ting Feng, Wei Xiang etc.

The nxt best thing to happen was joining NJPA all thanx to the help of Wen You. I actually joined the IT Club first lorz, but I was nvr really happy there. Din wan to run for council also, but when Jiing Shyuan wanted to run for it, she told us(some of us ex CSS councillors) to join her and I did lorz, but din get in larz, lol. I was guranteed a ex-co position in the ITC but seeing the ppl I might be working wif, I knew I'd lead a very unhappy and terrible life if I were to become an ex-co in ITC. No offence to the ppl there larz, but it's becos they're not my type larz, totally different frequency. I wasn't selected for the PA main ex-co but cos me and Wen You gd buddy, which means we'll work well together, I was the 1st-choice assistant to him lorz, hehe. Can't imagine sia, how so many happenings led me to being so involved in the PA Crew. Furthermore, this cca is very much different from any others in NJ lorz. The bonding between the members is stronger than usual, even between different batches. Due to the super-enthu ppl, we get lotsa pa outings, which dominate a lot of my outings wif friends these days.

So u can imagine what kind of person I might have become and what kind of life I would've been leading rite now if not for these things tt happened(somemore wasn't wat I initially planned for or wanted). Lucky lucky...=P

'slack'

1 of 3wks gone wif majority of the battalion away in aus for Ex Wallaby. How was life? More or less is slack larz, but we had lotsa area cleaning to do. The only cumbersome thing we had to do is to fall in for role call 3 times a day at 0745, 1330 and 1730hrs. Very boring indeed...

Day 1, our sgt gave us a 'day-off' and we had the whole day to ourselves. I was told tt me and Eric had 4 tanks which we're supposed to have their interior cleaned and have as many faults serviced as possible by the end of the 3wks when the Wallaby personnel return. Hmm...4 tanks...2 of us to clean...

Day 2, our sgt wanted us to go clean the 1st tank le. It's his intention for us to complete 1 tank per day and finish everything by the 1st wk so tt we can relax for the nxt 2wks(I din think it was possible cos it's the ARMY!). True enough, the we're supposed to take instructions from the tech(technicians)-squad ppl for us to help them repair our vehicles but only 2 of them remained in S'pore (1 sgt and 1 pte) and the sgt was on MC! In the end, Eric did his BOS(before operations servicing) and the rest of the day was for us again.

Day 3, there was actually nothing planned for us initially. As the coy-line was 'littered' wif leaves, the COS shouted for us to go down and do area cleaning. As many of us were sleeping(me excluded), only a few of us went down(it was enough ppl though). After we've finished cleaning quickly, the COS suddenly said the armourer(someone who makes sure our weapons are 'fit for firing') wanted 3 men to be attached to him. It sounds like there's gonna be a lot to do and the COS only managed to convince 2 guys(among those who were sleeping while we were cleaning) to go lorz. As we were going up and the COS down, he asked for 1 more volunteer among those who were cleaning. I volunteered myself cos I buay tahan no one wanted to help lorz. So the 3 of us went to the armourer and much to our surprise and happiness, we only had to do stuff when he tells us to and we balonglong most of the time lorz, hehe. After lunch and the 1330 role call, the rest of the ppl had to go clean up a main road in the camp, including the drains beside it. Haha, serves them well lorz, dun wana volunteer, the ones who volunteered got the last laugh in the end.

Day 4, yesterday, the worst day of the wk for me larz. Me and Eric spent the morn and aftnoon until 1500hrs cleaning the interior of 1 tank. In the morn, all I had was a sponge and a pail of detergent water. I was cleaning until I super-pissed cos there was lotsa dried mud stuck in lotsa small holes, corners etc everywhere! I did not bring along my mini-screwdriver so dun have the neccessary tools lorz. Couldn't do much and progress was negligible. We stopped at ard 1030hrs and went back to bunk to get our stuff. As we were quite shagged already, we decided to continue only in the aftnoon at 1330hrs aft role call, hehe =P. With my screwdriver, along wif a piece of cloth and the pail of detergent water, I worked thru' the gunner and commander compartments while Eric worked on the driver compartment. As said earlier, we finished our work at ard 1500hrs lorz. We returned to our bunks feeling shagged but satisfied that we've finished our work and after getting permission from sgt, we went playin' b-ball! Whaha, how happy I was lorz, it's my fav sport even though I'm not gd enough at it. It's been a long time since I last played b-ball le. As usual, the ppl ard me were all quite pro lorz, better than me by a lot. I did fairly well larz, my normal standard, my normal style, taking long shots somewhere within the semi-circle near the 3pt line, missing quite a lot but nonetheless scored a few nice shots. Later in the nite, Edmond asked me to join the c-coy tankees at the i-net rm where we could surf the net(15min limit though) and some of them played CS. After tt, we gathered at the enlistee's mess and played Risk. Well, lousy me forgot wat tactics to employ and I spreaded out my troops almost evenly at the beginning and I was out of the game very very quickly. The correct strategy is to concentrate ur troops on 1 terroritory and then expand slowly, giving up the rest of the terroritory if neccessary lorz. Nxt time I'll noe how to play den won't kana thrashed so easily le, haha.

Today, we had nothing to do again. But this time, it is becos sgt kenny was doing guard duty the previous nite, so he only returned in the morn and needed rest lorz, haha. We were scheduled to go gym in the morn and aft tt, there was nothing for us lorz. We slacked a while, did area cleaning a while and aft the area inspection at ard 1700hrs, much to our disappointment, our 2nd floor didn't pass the requirement and we had to clean it again(din take long though, cos not very dirty larz) b4 the officer inspecting gave us the green light to go for our dinner and bk out!

Well, seems like din do much rite....actually the feature of our everyday life is the area cleaning at coy-line! The 4 trees at b-coy is very diff from the trees at the other 2 coys lorz. Also duno why larz, our trees always have leaves falling throughout the day lorz, sian diaoz. In the morn aft our breakfast at ard 0600hrs, we will sweep the floor for the 1st time for tt day. The floor will be littered wif leaves b4 long and in the aftnoon, we will do at least another 2 times lorz. Hai, very mafan lehz. Hmm, 1 wk gone jus like this and we've only cleaned 1 of the 4 tanks...Duno how larz, tt's for our sgt to think about larz, I worry too much only bother myself when there's nothing I can do abt it...haha. If we dun manage to get our tanks cleaned and serviced b4 the Wallaby personnel return, then the tankees would have to return during our 1 wk bloc leave immediately aft they return from aus lorz, if tt's the case den very sad larz, but this kinda thing is see heng-sway wan lorz...we'll see in time...hehe...

http://juslittlethoughts.blogspot.com = bye bye xpianzi.com

I'll b using the blogger.com as the host very soon and thus, the url to my blog will b changed from www.xpianzi.com/blog.html to http://juslittlethoughts.blogspot.com by 1+wks time probably. To regular readers of my blog, whoever they are, dun 4get to change the url huh, haha. This is cos my 1/2yr subscription to my webhost is coming to an end and I do not intend to renew it. Generally speaking, it is becos I've thoroughly enjoyed myself enough having a personal webby wif my own domain name. Furthermore, not many(in fact, very very few) ppl visit my webby lorz(the reason is tt my webby doesn't have a fruitful purpose actually, haha). As my fren said, the stats are usually very demoralising(which happens to be the case for me). There's simply no reason why my webby will attract strangers to come anyway, but it was really for the fun of it. I haven't been updating it for mths cos there's not much content to work wif and I haven't generated any new ideas...The only thing I update is my blog, hehe. So yah, I guess that sums up my reasons/excuses of not continuing to have www.xpianzi.com =)

company orderly sgt aka company only slave - COS

I'm finally home for the wkend! What a way to spend saturday...in camp. I reported back to camp early yesterday morn at ard 8am to do some saikang but ended up being told by my sgt to stay back to perform COS duty cos he noticed that I'm the only one in the grp staying back (not going Australia) who only has 1 COS duty(the least lorz).

The sadness comes from the fact tt I can't meet up wif Kenneth and Hui Jian for the NJ Open House! Sianz, we were intending to pose as sec sch students visiting lorz, imagine the fun I could've had wif them! Well, Hui Jian told me not much chio bu to see, guess he was quite disappointed lorz, hehe. The other fact is tt I'll be missing out the wkend football matches (my fav pasttime lehz =( )!

My duty involves staying in the coy office most of the time to handle phone calls or any admin work to be done between the S1 to S4 and the coy level. We also had to do cookhouse duty which usually involves making sure the ppl queue up properly for their food. The only stupidity about my duty yesterday was tt there was very little ppl having their meals at the cookhouse lorz, most of the men in the unit bk out long ago, so there was nothing for me to do at the cookhouse as well. In the end, I sat out my duty time at the cookhouse stoning.

Back at the coy office, where there is air-con fortunately, I had nothing to do, no calls to handle since there's not many ppl from our unit ard (like I said b4). All I did at the office was listen to Perfect10 and read my novel which btw, I managed to finish reading (imagine how much time I had!). Our tank platoon's 'dearest' Sgt Kenny was performing BOS(battalion orderly sgt) duty and whenever he's free, he'll jus come to the office and play his handphone or chat a little wif me lorz, sian.

It was ultimate boredom larz, in conclusion. Staying in on a saturday sucks big time. Doing nothing while staying in sucks even bigger time. At least if I'm doing something productive I've less complaints. Wasting my precious wkend in camp doing nothing but read my storybk is very sad for me lorz, I sms lotsa ppl hoping to chat but few replies came, sian sian. No wonder COS is also known as company only slave. The only good thing is tt the normal COS is very very busy wif lotsa phone calls to do this do that lorz. Since the whole battalion's out, there's not much to be done le...

i'm a saikang warrior

There was only one thing to do this wk which was to prepare for Ex Wallaby at Australia. Since I'm one of the 100+ ppl in the unit not going over to Australia for training, we din have to trouble ourselves packing our bags and needing to have everything 100% clean(cos Australia is an agricultural country, so they're very particular bt ppl bringing in foreign particles in, tt is, soil and foodstuff etc). While the Wallaby personnel are preparing their stuff to bring overseas, there was still unclean stores left for the non-Wallaby personnel to settle as they also have to be sent to Australia.

We were attached to Sgt Mutu (a commander from another platoon) to clean the CVC helmets(helmets wif headphones and mic for intercoms within an a-veh). There was a total of approx. 60 helmets for 10 ppl to clean. Since it had to be super ultra clean, we had a very hard time cos the helmets weren't well-maintained all along and now they had to be 100% clean. The harness(cushion) was also soiled and since we din have enough time, we kiwi-ed it black lorz. Sounds simple doesn't it? Well, it's not easy to kiwi them lorz. We needed a lot of kiwi-ing b4 the harnesses were very black and looked clean. The switches and gaps in the CVC helmets got mud stuck in them and we had to dig them out wif pincers and toothbrushes. We started cleaning at 6pm but even until 2am the nxt morn, it still din pass the standards the sgt in-charge (nt Sgt Mutu) required. We ended the cleaning and went to sleep at 3am. We had our breakfast at ard 7am and resumed cleaning at 8am. By 12noon, we decided to go for lunch first and we brought our stuff back to coy-line to keep and when Sgt Mutu came back from doing some other stuff, he was fuming mad sia. The sgt in-charge was asking him why we jus left the place and Sgt Mutu was angry tt we din wait for him to return to get instructions. The sgt in-charge gave a dead-line of 2pm for all to be clean lorz, so some of us went to eat while others continue cleaning and we switched roles later on. At 2pm, we moved over to the MT-line where the sgt in-charge was. Man, it was raining heavily lorz, how sian diaoz can one get u can imagine.

As the stores had to be loaded up by 4pm, the sgt in-charge had to close 1 eye lorz, cos some of our CVC helmets really still cmi larz. Everyone was in a foul mood sia, myself included lorz, haha. When everything was done, the relieve I felt was tremendous! Without fail, Sgt Mutu tells us to go to our bunks to get some money for canteen break(it's illegal for him to give us tt lorz, he can get extras if found out by his superiors). He always like to reward his men for work done wan lorz, this is the 3rd time I've worked under him and got canteen break in the end.

The non-Wallaby personnel went for a briefing by the RSM yesterday aftnoon regarding wat they had installed for us while most of the battalion is overseas and of course, as I've anticipated, saikang awaiting us! He said there're areas in the battalion ground tt need to be cleaned up, which he will inform the acting CSM while they're away. To add insult to injury, our 'dearest' Sgt Kenny has agreed wif my PC tt we will be servicing our 4 tanks up to standard for the upcoming 4NTM(notice to movement) aft Ex Wallaby. Me and Eric, the b-coy tankees left behind, hai, are going to die from excessive saikang for sure...*sigh* But I can't complain much cos I've been given the chance to stay behind which I wanted, since my grandpa is very very sickly now. Can't imagine what I'll do if something happens (touch wood) and I can't be ard.

feng1 yu3 wu2 zu3

Yesterday was a day mixed wif fun and boredom. In the morn, we had to report to Safra Yishun by 0830h for the celebration of 46SAR's b-day. I was one of a few instructed to take part in the air-rifle shooting competition (cos I got marksman for my live-shoot). It wasn't really interesting at all lorz, won't have felt any different if I wasn't taking part in it. The air rifle is long and heavy and me not having strong hands, had a hard time aiming as the rifle keep swaying, lol. Well, our coy din win in the shooting competition.

We left the place at ard 1+pm aft lunch and since my apptment wif NSC was at 1615h, I reached Novena at 2+pm and decided to burn some time walking ard Novena Square. Man, it was really a boring place. There was nothing (as in shops) tt I was interested in taking a look and I ended up in the Food Court looking for dessert. Finally aft 2yrs (cos I dun think of finding it all the time), I get to taste what Red Ruby is. Back in NJ, they had Red Ruby on the menu but they nvr sell it. It looks really nice on the pic lorz, and a few occasions, I approached the dessert stores outside but to no avail. Well, it's quite nice larz, but I dun really love it so...yah...haha.

After the 1+hr of waiting and 15mins of consultation, I went to orchard borders to browse thru' bks since it was only 1700h and we were supposed to meet at orchard mrt at 1830h. 5 of us met up eventually, wif 2 on the way and we walked ard Taka. After the Jeremy came, we went to Swensens to queue and wait for Ming Yong to arrive. We sat at the table for almost 15mins b4 he came and we had our dinner there lorz.

After the meal, Hong initially intended to go to k-box but everyone of us din have much money left (or so it seems...) so Ben suggested going to a ktv where his friend worked (see got lobang or not lorz, hehe). This is the first time I'm going to ktv wif my friends, haha. We reached there at ard 9+pm. From the looks of the menu, I could tell we were going to spend quite a lot lorz, but cos Ben got lobang, we ended up wif 7 ppl paying only ard $67? I bet the bill could've ran up to double to amt lorz, so we felt quite paiseh, haha.

Initially I din think I'd sing cos I usually don't, but I ended up singing quite a few songs! We agreed tt each person had to sing at least ONE song. They couldn't decide what songs they want and I started the ball rolling by singing 25mins by MLTR (haha, my fav starting song for karaoke, cos I could sing wifout straining my voice very much). After the slow start, everyone warmed up already and the list kept running at ard 15 to 20 songs pending, lol. Got to hear lotsa chinese oldies which I used to listen to but duno the title so cannot download them. Long time no hear chinese songs le, cos I always tune in to english radio stations. My friends all sang quite a lot of not-so-recent but not-so-outdated chinese songs which I found are quite nice and I kept note of their titles so I can download them when I get home, haha. The feeling was great sia, after all the singing it seems tt all the stress is gone, shiok. We had a great blend of english and chinese songs, me contributing to the list of english songs, hehe. My friends din noe a lot of nice english songs so I sang a few of my most-beloved english songs (sort of recommend to them lorz, haha). Hmm, lemme recall the songs I sang...25mins, Sleeping Child(MLTR), feng1 yu3 wu2 zu3(Emil Chau), Heaven, All For Love(Bryan Adams), You'll Be In My Heart(Phil Collins), zhi4 shao3 hai2 you3 ni3(Sandy Lam), I'll Be There For You(Friends Theme) and a few more I believe but I can't remember. We actually intended to only sing a bit and leave by 2330h to make it for the buses and mrt but we ended up singing until 0145h the nxt morn lorz, hehe. Me and Yong Hua shared a cab and I managed to reach home at 0210h.

Haha, nxt time if got any ktv session I'll definitely go!! I dun deny that I dun have a good voice to sing, so one criteria is tt the grp musn't be too big larz, cos I'll feel very paiseh like I usually do and dun dare to sing in front of a big crowd wif my lousy voice. =P

a (not so short after all) painful short week

We booked in last wkend wif the knowledge that we'll be booking out on wed nite for an off-in-lieu on thurs and to celebrate 3rd div's annniversary on fri at yishun safra. Everyone was high on morale all the while knowing it was going to be a short wk. Little did we know how slow this wk turned out to be due to our high expectations I guess.

On mon, we started our 1.5-day course on chemical defence where we learn how to wear those thick hot suits defending us from biological & chemical warfare agents. Initially we expected it to be relaxing since it's a lect but we din expect to have to do practical as well! Really wonder how we can work in the fields under the hot sun in such suits as they're really very hot to wear. We spent the whole day learning and practising how to wear the suits in double-quick time so as to survive shud there be a sudden attack lorz.

On tues, most of us went for the tear gas practise where one has to go into an enclosed space wif our suits on so as to test whether we wear it properly. Of course, tear gas is released into the rm and if ur suit isn't properly worn, u'll cry lorz...lol. You'll also be asked to do some exercises which stretches ur suit to test if u've worn it properly larz. But at the end of the practise, one will be instructed to take off the mask to get a first-hand experience of what tear gas is like if u're exposed to it. You'll be asked to state ur rank, name and nric number wif tear gas lingering all ard your face. I'm spared the torture cos I'm asthmatic lorz, so I din go wif them and stayed back in camp instead. The commanders of course, had sai kang for us to do larz. Those who din go for the practice stayed back to help clean the whole coy's signals stores. That's ultimate boredom man, we cleaned them the whole morn and aftnoon and haven't finished even by evening time when they returned. Very nice of the sgt taking charge of us, he risked signing extra by taking us to canteen break for our dinner instead of going to the cookhouse to eat the usual usually sucky food lorz.

Yesterday, we were suddenly confronted wif the information that our weapons which we sent in after our outfield recently has been failed by the armourer. We had to draw our weapons out to clean them again lorz. We also had a tank to be cleaned up b4 returning it to another unit whom we've borrowed from. Everyone thought our machine guns also failed and were worried we won't be booking out since it might not be possible for us to clean them to a good standard in such short time (which turned out to be the case...). However, we din get to bk out yesterday becos of other reasons which is another long story to tell but I'm lazy to tell larz...hehe.

Well, will be visiting my granddad at the hospital later le...hai....he's fallen really really ill again. Hasn't been feeling well all this while but he's unwilling to go to the hospital cos he wants to stay at home more often as his time MIGHT be up le *sigh*

outfield = mosquitoes + zzz + wait & wait

This wk in camp began and concluded wif our 4 day 3 night outfield. It was supposed to be siong for everyone but as only 4 tanks per coy moved out, the spare tankees had something else installed for us.

It was initially planned for us to stay wif our coy to help out wif at the lagger sites wif fatigue work(means sai kang actually...hehe). But the RSM wanted us to pose as civilians in the outfield to slow down the advancing coy(the attacker for that mission). The coys had different missions everyday and they were required to fight against each other. The spare tankees thus moved ard in the RSM's 5-tonner and had the privelege of wearing civilian attires (instead of our heavy, hot cover-alls).
On day 1, the B-coy tankees were not notified b4-hand and we went there in our cover-alls, wifout helmets somemore (much to the displeasure of our CO & RSM! Oh dear~). The RSM had to specially take 2 of our B-coy tankees(I happen to be 1 of them) back to camp to get our helmets. We did sentry on day 1 and in the wee hrs of day 2, we moved to a training shed located at a T-junction where C-coy(the attacker for tt day) was bound to pass by. Our mission was to delay their advancement.

We encountered many B-coy veh b4 we went abt wif our mission of delaying C-coy. It was quite fun besides the setback of having lotsa mosquitoes at the training shed. It was so bad tt our sgt suggested for us to stay in the tonner where we lit many mosquito coils to deter them from entering and disturbing us. We had lotsa bites already though, itchy like siao.

The funniest thing tt happened for the whole outfield occured over there right b4 us. It was all peaceful and a B-coy bikey appeared. He stopped just beside the training shed where we were and started to coms the B-coy ppl I think. None of us knew that at that time, the C-coy AIs are already hiding in the trees behind us(the spare tankees and also the bikey) ready to ambush the B-coy veh when they pass by. 3 B-coy veh passed by and were engaged by the C-coy AIs. During the engagement, the bikey continued wif his conversation using the signal set on his bike, lost in his own world, not knowing wat's happening ard him. The 3 veh proceeded on wif their movement and the C-coy AIs advanced towards the bikey from behind and he was unknowingly caught by them (he becomes their POW, haha sad case). The sian diaoz look on his face was so obvious sia, we couldn't help but laugh lorz, lol. We spent the whole of day 2 there at the training shed, most of the time waiting for the C-coy veh to come and engaging in conversation wif them to slow down their advancement and also to test them on how to handle civilians cos civilians are protected by lotsa laws such as the Geneva Convention. It is very hard for military personnel to handle civilians... In the evening, we reported back to RSM and much to our surprise, he instructed us to return to camp to take a bath! (wa piang, outfield where got bath this kinda thing wanz?!?) After bathing in camp and returning to the outfield, we had nothing to do but sleep for the rest of the time lorz (everyone squeezed into the 5-tonner to rest and prep for the nxt day lorz).

Day 3 required us to slow down A-coy. We waited at the admin area until the RSM notified the driver and sgt of where to go to and when we reached there, we waited and waited and waited and when A-coy came, the veh commander(VC) asked what we were doing there and wifout tryin to negotiate his way thru, they reversed and went searching for an alternative route (sian lorz, they dun wana play at all). We moved to another area to slow them down again but aft waiting for the whole aftnoon, they nvr came. Eventually in the evening, we decided to call off the plan and return to the admin area to look for RSM but along the way, we passed by A-coy's lagger area where they were resting and met the RSM there as well. He then decided to see us at work and we disturbed the already shagged out A-coy ppl. They were all very tired and were definitely sian diaoz to see us approaching them lorz. There were 2 AIs who were rather stern wif us when we advanced towards their a-veh(armoured vehicle) and they even cocked their weapons and pointed their weapons at us when we were very near their veh. It seemed rather harsh but it was the right thing to do and they calmly handled us. Well done guys, hope din irritate u so much that u hate us! haha =P After the RSM seen enough of us at work, he called it a day and we were instructed to return to camp and go outfield again only tml! (wa laoz, outfield were got sleep back in camp in the comfort of our bed wanz?!? We even went for canteen break for our dinner lorz, kaoz...)

Day 4 required us to delay B-coy. We went to an area where they were supposed to pass by and to our surprise, the C-coy ppl have already camped in the forest in tt area for 14hrs waiting to ambush B-coy(again? -_-"). The C-coy sgt who gave us a lot of problems on day 1 as he knew of how we wanted to trouble them negotiated wif us and we paka (work together) to 'kill' B-coy. How sad the plan was sia, I'm from B-coy and I'm working wif another coy to destory B-coy. Luckily B-coy nvr came and in the aftnoon, the whole exercise was ended by the CO in the aftnoon. We the spare tankees had the benefit of moving off 1st in our 5-tonner and we reached camp much earlier than the rest of the battalion.

I quickly bathed and all of us waited for the battalion to return b4 we went down to the veh shed to help out wif AOS and dismounting of the OVM(stuff we bring along wif us in the tanks when we go outfield). The spare tankees brought the GPMG(machine guns) back to coy line and aft dinner, we began cleaning them (the insides of our weapons are usually covered wif carbon aft firing them). We took the whole night and only cleaned the weapons to a SATISFACTORY standard at 3am on Saturday (super sian diaoz and low morale lorz....) We slept for only 2 hrs and woke up for breakfast at 5.30am. After breakfast, we were supposed to do area cleaning but of course, the main crew are so super-shagged tt everyone went to sleep instead...hehe.

3 of us had to go down to the washing bay to clear up the mess we created from washing the a-veh. Lotsa mud left behind there and we spent the whole morn cleaning up the mess(the problem is tt our morale is further lowered knowing tt while we're cleaning, the C-coy ppl are already bking out!). The 1st wave ppl (me included) were finally released from our super siong job at ard 11am when the 2nd wave of B-coy ppl came to the washing bay to help out. How ironic sia, this few hrs is the most siong time of the wk for me lorz, more siong than my 4 days of outfield...lol. We then waited at our coy-line for every1 to return b4 the whole coy booked out together at ard 12.30pm. Sad case lorz, C-coy already left early in the morn and at ard 11+am, we had to see the A-coy ppl leave b4 us as well. *sigh*

Hai, to add insult to injury, us, the B-coy ppl have to bk on sunday by 10.30pm cos we have some nonsense chemical defense thingy on monday while A & C-coy ppl get to bk in on monday night...hai...life sux for B-coy ppl sia...
