backdated...

Special request from Belle, here's a backdated update, lol. Just a while ago, we had a dinner at JP Billy Bomber's to celebrate Qiu Jie's bday, my first with this grp actually, lol. Well, I din bring my cam, so had to wait for them to send lo, hahaha. It's here le so MUST upload, lol.

Then it was another outing to celebrate Shu Jun's bday. Aft a tiring 1st meeting for CSS Prom, Yihua, Jenni and me joined the rest of the grp who were eating at Waraku restaurant (the other version). After linking up wif them, we went to look for a place to chill out and after a long walk to and fro and some waiting, we ended up at Brewerkz. Interestingly, it's been slightly over a year since the last time me and Shu Jun were here to celebrate Wen You's bday, hahaha. The best thing was, I brought my cam but left it in the glove compartment of my car which was parked very far away, LOL. Again, had to wait for others to send me the photos taken and wala, here they are. =)

bye jose :(

Self-proclaimed the "Special One" since his arrival years ago, he has brought in lots of silverware to Chelsea any board room would be proud of, adding spice to the EPL with lots of his ambiguous comments. Abramovich dug deep into his pockets, Mourinho brought in his style of management, and it worked wonders for 2 seasons. I guess ultimately it was the strained relationship between manager and owner tt led Chelsea to where they are at the moment. Abramovich was only interested in winning the Champions' League, something Mourinho failed to deliver.

Personally I'm totally behind Mourinho because I believe a manager can never get his job done without the full backing of the owner/chairman or the board of directors. This was what resulted in the downfall of the Blue's Revolution. It began with the sale of Gallas to Arsenal whom Mourinho wanted so badly to keep, even w/o the full commitment of the player, he was gonna just let the player rot in the reserves if necessary to prove a point about who's in charge. That didn't turn out well when the higher guys veteoed Mourinho's insistance of keeping Gallas. That resulted in a shortage of numbers in the backline and it strained the squad when they were firing on all cylinders, challenging for many trophies near the end of the season.

Then came the arrival of over-the-hill players like Ballack and Shevchenko. Both were pretty strange additions to the squad with £30m plunged in for Sheva's arrival and Ballack, a free-transfer. Both didn't make an impact on the team AT ALL. Sheva's goalscoring capabilities are undoubted for certain, but Mourinho didn't seem to be interested in fielding the player. Sheva's performances in EPL games when he was down on the pitch was NEVER good, a far cry from his influence back at AC Milan.

A few key positions at the club were filled with Abramovich's close friends, which I'm sure did not go too well with Mourinho as well. The unhappiness at the club finally took its toll and we'll wait to see what Chelsea can do w/o the "Special One". Not sure if I've read correctly but a lot of the backroom staff resigned en-masse following Mourinho's exit. Now it awaits to be seen which players are on Mourinho's side with Drogba and Lampard yet to sign extensions to their contracts, muahahaha.

After visiting the SEP talk, and having the chance to consult a senior who's been through it, I'm now freaking determined to go for it as long as I qualify for it. While my CAP hovers dangerously above the minimum mark, hopefully I can do something about it this sem. The only setback is, I may not be able to s/u my arts gem...*sianz*

Everyone's so busy these days, hard to even jio each other out for lunch in sch. Well, managed to have a few lunches and muggings (yep yep, we go beat ppl up....) wif Yanru, and we're going to LP's concert in Nov! *hoho*

Well, hopefully things can go shun shun li li ba, tt's all for now.
