ndp 05

Hmm, also duno if it's gd or bad news larz ar, I'm going to be involved in NDP 05 mobile column. I'll be a gunner in one of the tanks moving along padang on 9 August lorz (unless I fall sick, haha). Well, I'm selected not cos I'm the best gunner in my coy or something larz, jus so happen my commander is selected and he keep me as his gunner lorz. Hai, won't get rest nxt Saturday aft my ATEC Stage 2 le, rehearsals start on tt Saturday. On the whole, can say quite sway to be involved in NDP for 2 consecutive yrs larz, haha. This untimely news comes in a wk which was short but quite siong mainly cos I had fever for 2 days larz, somemore it goes off b4 I can go see the MO, sianz.

We had to get our tanks up and ready cos our dear OC wanted to inspect yesterday morn. We finished quite late for both nights and without sufficient rest and water (my own fault larz), I fell ill lorz. Luckily recovered yesterday larz, cos I was called down to Keat Hong Camp to change the tracks of some tanks so that they can be used for NDP on public roads. If our tanks were to travel on public roads wif the usual metal tracks, I think they'll hafta tar the road aft every rehearsal, haha, the roads sure cui wanz. Well, it's another long and tedious working relationship wif Sgt William *bish*

Lotsa unhappiness in-camp this wk for me larz. I really wonder how some of my other platoon mates can tolerate such selfishness from someone ard them lorz. He's the most zai person I've met in my life, who can really heck care everything, anything for his own benefit. Nvr report back to camp on Sunday nights wif Atten C status on Monday for at least 5 times le, who would believe he's genuinely sick? This wk lagi best. He got Atten C for 3 days cos he kana bitten by something causing his legs to bloat up or something. This wk was taxing on the whole platoon lorz. He's one of the most irresponsible bastards (sorry to ppl who find this word too vulgar ar) I've ever met. To think I'll still have to tolerate him cos no matter what, he'll be working for quite some time wif me as a platoon mate. Guess I'll jus have to learn to live wif it larz, since one can't possibly expect everybody to change for him or everything to go his way ar.

b-day nt dull as expected...

Well, b-days jus get more and more dull as you grow older don't they? Was expecting a super dull one wif me going jalan jalan and makan alone lorz, all the guys are back in camp, gals, well, also duno who to invite larz, haha. Luckily, Yan Ru was free to accompany me. *special thanx*

Hmm, had a out-of-the-norm(cos it's ex and no one in the right mind will eat there often...) meal at Goodwood Hotel (my idea) cos the food there is quite nice from my memory of my supper wif Matt, Kenneth and Hui Jian aft our prom nite 1.5yrs back. The place is very nice, gu3 se4 gu3 xiang1 as Yan Ru put it lorz.

After tt went jalan jalan larz, also duno where to go actually, cos I dun usually shop at Orchard, besides going to Kino at Taka to buy books. Went ard the place, see this see that, den we ended up at HMV where I finally managed to find my Saving Private Ryan poster! There were also a lot of Naruto mechandise at the Action City shop which I kinda liked actually but they're not what I really wanted to I constrained myself from purchasing them, haha.

A big thank you to all who remembered my b-day and sms-ed me or wrote me a testimonial(haven't had one in yr(s)..). Returning back to camp 2nite le, very lucky indeed to get an 0ff-in-lieu on my b-day, haha, nt in my power to decide when it's given...

FTX 2

Home again! (from another 3 day 2 nite outfield, so feels great!) There were rumours hovering all over the company line tt our saturday's burnt and monday's off-in-lieu, cancelled. How despairing and demoralising can tt be? I bet you can imagine. Back from outfield, cleaning our equipment, our hopes of a long wkend about to be dashed. Luckily, we still got it in the end. We were on our way to booking out only tomorrow at ard 4pm today lorz, what to do? It's the SAF! Everything is always last minute, even our bookout confirmation, particularly in Bronco company lorz. Oh well!

FTX 2...as 24C crew...surprisingly, it went smoothly for us(me and Alex) and Sgt William. Guess he can be really nice when he's calm lorz. When he gets real mad, hoho, better not even try to talk to him sia. He seems to have severe problem controlling his temper when it's brewing. My nightmare took place on the first day at laager site...Artificial camo!! This time, it went smoothly with us adopting the technique taught by the ATEC umpires in stage 1. Jus tt the net's a little old, so our artificial camo wasn't the best, but it was acceptable larz, hehe. His demand from the gunner to man sectors during the journeys is no better than Sgt Kenny lorz, having the swing the gun here and there all the time so that me as a gunner, keeps our surroundings in view so that we may spot an enemy real quickly. Sadly, the hydraulics failed me aft the first day. From another point of view, it's good cos I won't hafta man sector and can sleep when the tank's on the move! Haha.

The only stunner is tt 24A and 24C(my crew) switched to being enemies on the last day. We had the chance to test out the laser system which helps determine who killed who in an engagement. It was quite fun actually, getting to shoot at fellow tankees from other companies as well and getting them 'killed'. We also got 'killed' of course, but it was for a minor reason, haha. On the whole, all went well for FTX 2 lorz, hopefully it stays the same for ATEC Stage 2 and tt's about it le, whaha. 2 more siong wks to go!
