india

Sadly, I'll b leaving for india nxt monday! The training there will last for approximately 3wks. *sigh* Will definitely miss my family, my com, my dear frens too. Missed the Ex Wallaby at Australia last yr in october but this time there's no escape! Shud b quite jialat for me larz, cos all the stuff which I'll have to do wif the tank long time no practise le, much lesser than the main crew lorz(btw, I'm a SPARE).

Surprisingly, india is gonna b very cold instead of hot which everyone assumes without even thinking(me too). Today, I'm given chance to clear my day-off for tml lorz. Still got some stuff which needs to be purchased b4 packing everything into my civi bag. This will definitely be a great experience for me though I dun mind not having tt experience! Hehe. =P Somemore when we return to singapore probably on 19 March, a Saturday, we'll be on stand-by again on 22 March, the following Tuesday! Sian ji pua sia...our OC trying to help us push it back to Wednesday so tt he can give us an off-day on Monday to extend our wkend a little...hopefully larz...see how nice A-company OC can be le lorz...

Working on a little website project of my own hoping maybe to earn some money? Still in the testing phase larz, results haven't been encouraging. Special thanx to my ns-buddy Kok Boon for his professional advice whenever I pose my problems to him. Requesting here from my dearest readers, any interesting articles/jokes/links which u may have. Jus email everything to me and I'll filter them personally =)

After india, we'll be having outfield everywk i think, to prep us for our battalion test, the ATEC which has 2 phases and will keep us occupied from April all the way to late May, sad sad. After which, comes NDP!! Hai, last yr march le still not enuf, this yr we'll be involved in the drive-past. Will b quite siong I believe but after that, will b finally the chance to slack and start planning for ORD!! Well, guess I shudn't think too much now....take one thing at a time as it comes...hai...india....

constantine

Finally got the 'chance' to watch the show, very nice. I actually wanted to catch it on friday but I failed to jio somebody(again) along...I later intended to catch it alone...but I wasn't feeling well on friday so I stayed home instead. Min Yang then jio-ed me to watch the show wif our sec 2 frens I suppose at ard 3.30pm today but it was cancelled cos couldn't jio anyone to join. Very funny indeed cos at ard 1pm, laoda jio-ed me to watch the show wif some of our ex-sec sch council frens and we watched the 6.30pm show at jp.

John Constantine is a person who can see angels and demons amongst people on earth. He was born wif this special ability which actually caused him to commit suicide. (According to the show, if I din hear wrongly...) Catholics who commit suicide will go to hell and so, he is destined to go to hell larz. But he din die then(when he commited suicide, still very young) so now he helps put demons who break the rules, back to hell. There is a balance between the angels and demons larz, they are not supposed to disturb our(humans) lives. The demons break the rules by disturbing larz.

Here's one of the many funny parts of the show larz, lol. His time is almost up so he has terminal lung cancer lorz. The valid reason is tt he chain smokes the whole day almost non-stop since he was 15 larz, no wonder sia...haha. By putting demons who break rules back to hell, he hopes to redeem himself and maybe go to heaven when he dies larz, but as Gabriel explains, what he did was for selfish purposes(to redeem himself), not for the sake of others, so he was still destined to go to hell. Self-sacrifice was something sort of req'd of him b4 he may go to heaven.

Jus nice, there's this detective Angela who was investigating her sister's suicide. Since her sis was also a Catholic, she doesn't believe her sis will commit suicide(later John helped confirm tt she did commit suicide larz). So she approaches Constantine for help. She actually used to be able to see such things jus as her twin sis does but she was clever to deny it even when her twin sis tells other ppl what she sees. People think her twin sis is crazy and thus sent her to a mental institution which was where she commited suicide larz(she went to hell for tt...). Angela felt guilty lorz, she sabo her twin sis to death sia, so she wanted Constantine to help her regain her ability as well so she could see what her twin sis did.

The plot gets a little chim later on so it's best I not say too much in case I say wrongly but also to leave u guys wif something unknown larz, if not later u go watch the show duno for wat le. Anyway, I bet this show's genre isn't classified as humour though I think they should, lol. There are little parts in the show which are lame yet doesn't affect the seriousness of the show lorz. They're realistically lame...hahaha...go catch it!

nostalgia

A short and shagged wk has finally come to a rather lucky end for me. Most of my platoon mates find themselves having to book in tml while I only have to do so on Sunday late-morn. The main crew gunners and all drivers have live-firing on Sunday which leaves the spare crew gunners, 3 of us only, to 'bao' the guard duties this wkend, leaving our lao-jiao Alex untouched. =)

The main highlight of the wk was my guard duty on wednesday. I had the chance to perform the duty wif my ex-sec schmate Wei Tao. We had a lot of time so we chatted while we were on duty and awake(since it was dark at night, too dark for me to read my storybk, all we could do during our rest time was sleep larz, we were very tired anyway...). Chatting wif him really brings back many fond memories of my upper-sec days!

The most memorable thing was the whole of 4/1 making chocolates as our CIP proj for Valentine's Day. We came back to sch on Saturday and Sunday to make our chocolates so that they are still the most fresh when we deliver them during the upcoming wk. We offered free deliveries allowing ppl to send those chocolates to their loved ones in other classes wif messages attached to the boxes. It was hardwork for us sia, the recipe courtesy of Clarabelle. The difficult part was making the spearmint flavour in the chocolates(or wat flavour was it? =P). We mixed a number of stuff before beating them in a large bowl until the mixture becomes sticky. Then we make little 'balls of spearmint' which we dipped into a chocolate mixture made by melting huge blocks(at least 1kg each lorz, lol). We managed to finish only less than 20% of our orders on Saturday and we rushed thru' the whole of Sunday finishing the rest. Since our form teacher was our maths teacher, she postponed the datelines of our maths homewk lorz, lol. =P

Another major event was our skit(issit spelt this way?) during Racial Harmony Day when we were in Sec3. Our performance was based on the story of Maria Hertough(duno how to spell her surname...), a caucasian adopted and taken care of in a Malay community I think... In order to prep ourselves for the skit wif a tight schedule, we had a class overnight camp in school on a wkend from Saturday to Sunday. It was really fun sia, had only a few rehearsals lorz, had lotsa fun instead. That was when I learnt how to play that bo-liao simple song on the piano from Wei Tao and Clarabelle. They even brought in durians late in the night, haha. In that skit, I played someone who was fighting and kana killed, lol. Then 3 of my classmates had to kneel beside me and mourn...one of them, Xiao Tao, after that skit, keep calling me 'ah gong' le(cos during the skit, she'd say something like 'ah gong, dun die...dun die...'). Ha, everytime she call me tt ar, feel super duper old sia. At the end of the skit, we even had to sing a song to the tune of 'We Are One' by Westlife wif the lyrics cleverly edited by my classmates.

We also talked about who we have not met for long long time le, esp those who do not come for our annual class outings, Wei Tao himself being one of those...haha. How I miss those days! Really had lotsa fun staying back late for CCAs, though I used to hate it initially cos I hardworking wanz, always pia finish all homework at all cost, resulting in very little sleep during wkdays. Thinking bt it now, it was really enjoyable unlike life now lorz, ha. Had a lot of good/close friends ard all the time to share your thoughts wif. When we were talking during our duty, man, suddenly felt both happy and sad sia. It was a really good feeling I haven't had in a long long long time...he felt the same as well.
