M:i III

Phew, din have to watch the movie alone! Had the pleasure of watching the movie yesterday wif Yi Hua, Jennifer, Lifen, Fuying, Hui Wen and her bf, lol. The sad part was watching it at the lousy JE cinema... It's near my house though, pros and cons are well balanced out.

This third installment of the M:i series is very fast paced, so fast one doesn't have the luxury of time to notice how lousy the cinema is, lol. Ethan Hunt finally finds someone he loves, his wife doesn't know what he really does initially but was thrown into the fray like the loved ones of super heroes always do, lol.

After the super qua zhang stunt in M:i II where he kicks a gun out of the sand and turns around to shoot and kill a guy who was already aiming his head, this III's stunts are qua zhang but more acceptable in my perspective, lol. The most qua zhang amongst all is his spider-man swinging from 1 building to another. M:i III still sticks to his fav move when having to penetrate a skyscraper to steal an item - the roof.

Having served NS, I could appreciate better how brilliant Ethan really is. The little things he do along the way will go unnoticed before I served my NS, lol. My fav was when he was attempting to escape from his own office. In order to prevent interception, he got hold of a walkie of the guards and kept the transmit button held down. This will block all other transmition of instructions and he diverted the guards away from where he was gonna exit. Genius.

The only question I have is why don't they use code-names when they're on a mission. Of course, it is because they din do it tt the arms dealer Ethan caught found out his identity and was able to kidnap his wife. Isn't tt supposed to be a standard practice among secret agents?

Last but not least, thanx Yi Hua, Jennifer, Fuying and Hui Wen for the present! This came when least expected since my birthday is already over...haha... Da Vinci Code next!

my 21st

Well, many ppl are having their 21st b-day parties this yr... Initially had tt slightest desire to hold one but my character got the better of me, decided against it as my b-day got nearer. My family usually celebrates our b-days so I got prepared to keep my b-day for my family.

Just nice Wen You and gang are planning something on tt day and my dad eventually suggested getting them to join my family for a small celebration dinner. It's something I've never experienced before, very special, very cosy, just a small grp. It turned out great! Enjoyed it lots. All those big birthday parties I've been to were messy, guests had to entertain themselves in their own grps, all superficial exchanges.

Special thanks to those who still remember my birthday, especially those I still can't remember...*guilty* and also those we've lost touch for quite a while... Thanks to the following ppl for my presents! Thanks Min Yang, Yong Yun, Hui Xian and Kaiqi. Thanks Wen You, Yanru, Ziyang, Shu Jun and Jeff. Cheers!
