chelsea
I jus watched a 'beautiful'(Everton's tactics spoil the beauty of football larz, can't really blame them though) game of football between 2nd-placed Chelsea and over-performing 3rd-placed Everton. Chelsea eventually snatched a narrow win courtesy of the super-duper 'Robin'(Robben)!
Chelsea's play is simply outstanding and is very 'stifling' for the opponent. On their good days(which is most of the time...haha), their possession of the ball in the game can be very very irritating for the opponents as it's very hard to win the ball from them. People who do not watch football matches but keep themselves abreast of news from the football world might wonder why Chelsea score very often and perform so well in Champions League matches(where world-class teams are) but always scrap their wins in EPL matches. Well, the ans lies wif the tactics of their opponents lorz.
In Champions League, the world-class teams usually play to win matches and thus, they play attacking football(most of the time larz). In the EPL however, most of the teams know it is almost 'impossible' to beat Chelsea and thus, they play defensive football and defend very very deep(meaning tt majority of the players stay in their half of the pitch most of the time and only 1 striker stays upfront for counter attacks). Therefore, it is very hard for Chelsea to play in EPL matches but u can imagine the kind of quality they have since they can still win many matches in EPL.
Lucky for them, Robben's return to the first XI from injury coincides wif the injury of striker Drogba and furthermore, Robben returns wif a BANG. He's scored 2 crucial winners in a few matches so far for Chelsea and I bet the manager couldn't be more pleased wif his consistent performance. Man Utd's era of reigning the EPL has come to an end and it was supposed to be Arsenal's era but I wonder if Chelsea can steal it away from the gunners...hmm...
