NOKIA Presents - LINKIN PARK Live
5 hrs of standing, 3 hrs of queuing, 1.5 hrs of non-stop(almost) hits, 1 great LINKIN PARK.
Yanru and I thought we were early when we reached there at abt 6pm. Walking frm the bus stop to the stadium, the crowd looked sparse, which was kinda strange but man, were we really pleased and excited!
After a quick browse at the rather disappointing merchandise at a small tentage, we followed the signs directing us to the $148 queue. After walking abt 1/2 way ard the stadium, we were shocked to see a very looong queue already formed up, zzz. Some ppl actually came to queue at 7am in the morning. (someone thought we were crazy to meet up so early, guess again! lol)
After a loong wait tt almost bored us to death, we managed to enter the stadium slightly before 8pm. We managed to get a pretty gd spot, not too far from the stage.
After almost another hr of waiting for the stadium to fill up listening to crappy songs played over the PA, it was a sold-out I think, the concert finally began.
The concert, a first for me, was excellent. It was so good I thought it might've been a lip-sync which was impossible actually, LOL. The concert really did justice to their new album, Minutes to Midnight, which I didn't appreciate until yesterday aftnoon when me and bro decided to browse thru the lyrics quickly before making our way to the concert. Man, the lyrics made me realise it was another great album by LP. Gotta master the lyrics after my exams, muahahaha.
The songs performed are all the greatest hits from their past few albums. My favs from Meteora - Numb, Faint, Somewhere I Belong and Breaking the Habit. Then there were the slightly less familiar ones (to me) from Hybrid Theory - In the End, One Step Closer, Crawling, Papercut and Pushing Me Away. Finally, the songs from their latest album, which I'm starting to love and appreciate - Bleed It Out, What I've Done, Valentine's Day, Shadow of the Day, No More Sorrow and Little Things that Give You Away.
I was also impressed by the lightings, very well done! The nxt time i go for a LP concert (probably wif Yanru again, anymore LP fans out there, own up?!), it'll probably be at the seats, tsktsk. Once at the standing area shud be gd enuf. Hopefully I'll have a better cam wif me the nxt time, I din learn to use my hp cam properly and most of the photos I took were blurry. I just figured out, today, tt maybe I shud've used some other settings such as one wif shorter exposure time to take clearer photo of ppl moving, and also for taking pics at night since it was very dark in the concert. (How stupid can anyone get, zzz) Nonetheless, really enjoyed the concert, glad I din miss it even though I'm barely a wk away from my first final exam paper!
