It was just the 4 of us, me, Yihua, Qiu Jie and Hanwei who went to try to see the fireworks for NDP along the Esplanade bridge and this was what we got to see, hahaha. All the ignorant, selfish ppl climbing onto the railings to get a better view for themselves and blocking the many others behind and below them. There were also ppl in the crowd who seemed to like bashing ard and brushing against other ppl with force to make their way around, or even pushing the ppl in front, very irritating indeed. I'll make it a point to avoid such crowds in future. =P
Only after squeezing through the crowd and moving almost to the centre of the bridge was there a spot where the policeman was really doing his job, ensuring his area's railings were free from ppl climbing. That allowed more of us behind to get a glimpse of what was happening at the parade. In the end, most ppl were there for the fireworks but having been to previous NDPs, I'd have to say this year's fireworks is very disappointing.
This was the best firework for the night and sadly half of it was covered in smoke =.= After all tt we walked down to Cine Orchard to catch 881 which was in my opinion, an average show besides the fact tt it's based locally and sorta reflects our way of life in a rather funny lame way. It was really funny when we discussed all the inconsiderate ppl we've encountered in public and I was really stunned to know those that I met aren't the worst, hahaha.
