why can't we do nothing if there's nothing to do? The wk started off well and got better when i took my SOC trial test on monday and surprisingly clocked a timing of 9 min 50 sec. That qualified me to take the actual test on thurs which churned out an even better timing of somewhere ard 9 min 32 sec. Credit also goes to my platoon mates who chose to run wif me to support and encourage me on when they could've just slacked and just prepare the SOC ground. The irritating thing was being notified only 1 day ahead that the spare crews(including me) have to go outfield to practise setting up the admin area whenever the battalion goes outfield (this is in preparation of our aus trip and also ATEC, a test of the battalion's readiness etc etc when activated). We went outfield on thurs night but luckily, our RSM was nice enough to take us back on the same night (aft midnight). Yesterday, there was nothing much to do and we were all free by evening time before dinner. Our PS came to us and asked, "What do you want to do tonight? Wana go gym?" Of course, all of us just wanted to slack the night off in our bunks lorz. After dinner, our PC also came and asked the same question of what we want to do for the night. Nowadays, (we learnt this from our sgt) we like to say we want to "wash clothes" when it actually means we want to slack in our bunks, lol. That's what one of my platoon mates told the PC and he, not knowing what it really means, told us, "Well, if you like, you can wash your clothes the whole 4hrs of the night or spend just 20 mins." After we were sent back to our bunks, one of my bunkmates, Yuan Sheng, was pretty pissed off and said, "Why can't we do nothing if there's nothing to do?" That was really funny and I thought it really summarised the wk for me lorz, haha. Sadly, I've caught a flu and am suffering from sore throat as well...can't enjoy the wkend at home to the max lorz =P posted by sc @
