nothing's impossible, wat's 10km? Ha, I return from camp having ran 10km just b4 my 2 day 2 night outfield. Initially I din think I was ready for it cos the max I have ever ran was only 6km (quite far from 10km sia). Hmm, I'm pleased to have clocked a timing of 49mins which is quite shocking to me cos i used to clock a timing of 39mins for my 6km runs (guess my fitness has really improved =D). Ok, as usual, the outfield this time has once again left us, the spare crews wifout going for the actual intended run. But I'm glad that we returned back to camp earlier than expected and everyone was high on morale as we'd be booking out this evening. We returned to camp last night and did the usual stuff of AOS(aft operations servicing), washing of our tanks and last but not the least, cleaning of our weapons! The cleaning was left to the gunners to do while most of the drivers did the washing. We spent almost 4hrs to clean the machine guns sia. They were thick wif oil and carbon and we initially did not even have the required tools to clean them. Luckily, our PS managed to grab a lot of the necessary stuff for us and we cleaned our guns to a satisfactory standard by 3am this morn. We had our breakfast at approx 6am and then went back to sleep not knowing wat time we were required to wake up cos we didn't wake our sgt up when we went for breakfast (haha, we very bu4 dao4 de2 horz?). Stunning but really, we slept until 11am!! (wow wow, din expect so much sleeping time lorz) Everyone was very fresh and in good mood. We gladly did whatever we were told to do and managed to book out almost immediately aft dinner at 7pm. Well, good to be back lorz. As though we can't be any happier, the outfield nxt wk is cancelled! I'll be booking in on sunday night and going for a unconfirmed 12 or 14km run on monday! Whaha, sounds very challenging but I guess if one's determination is there, nothing is impossible! posted by sc @
