life is full of surprises...hai~
I'm back home for the wk! (only for approx 4hrs =() The tankees will b going for single tank battle course live-firing tml but we actually din expect to bk out at all for this wk. We only came back on wed night and there was still some BOS(before operations servicing) to be done in preparation for our live-firing. Yesterday was one of my worst days in NS having to do SOC(standard obstacle course) in the morn and then go outfield to set up butt of live-firing(that is, targets for firing). The targets(not sure if i can disclose wat it is so i'll keep it wif myself here :X) were quite heavy and not easy to move and it was under the hot sun(the conditions were like a mini-desert lorz). By 3pm, we left the live-firing area to return to camp for ICCT(intermediate close combat training)!! Aft dinner, we still had some servicing to be done and I only got to get to bed only at 11pm! Man, it was really tiring and I had muscleaches all over my body. The only gd thing is that I managed to clear all the obstacles in SOC and clocked a timing of 10:27mins(the standard i had in BMT, but considered a fail here as passing timing is 09:59mins). This morn, the butt-party went back to outfield to finish our work setting up the targets there and surprisingly, we completed it by 11+am(we started at ard 8am). We went for lunch and were told we could bk out aft lunch!! We ate fast and returned to bunk to bathe and stuff and by 12.30pm, were told to fall in and prepare to bk out(how glad and happy we were to have some time out of camp). Jus b4 we fall in, I was called down by another sgt from our company(i wondered wat it could be lorz, tt sgt doesn't even noe me!). When i went down, i was shocked to be told to sign extra(hai, tt means extra guard duty which might be on wkends *sobz*). It is becos of the weapon i returned to the armskote yesterday and it wasn't clean enough(sad sad...i was too shagged the previous night to notice these minor stuff lorz, careless me!!!). After I've signed to bk for extras, the bronco tankees fall in for a short briefing and we moved off le. We were walking past Atila(a company) when the Atila tank PS stopped us to tell us there was supposed to be some other training in the aftnoon for us!! I was damn pissed sia, we've changed into our civilian attire, were all in the mood to bk out(even though we were disappointed it's only a few hrs), and suddenly, this little happiness was about to be taken away right in front of us!! We returned to our company-line to await for confirmation from our commanders and luckily for us, our new PC, Cpt Matthias gave us the option to bk out immediately but we had to bk in one hr earlier than the initially given timing of 2000hrs. Hai, wat choice did we have? Everyone lan-lan took the chance and here I am, having to bk in at 1900hrs later on in the evening.
