Yesterday, concerts were held all over the world in every continent, to kickstart a campaign by Al Gore to create greater awareness among everyone about the effects of CO2 emissions on global warming in particular, how small actions in our daily life, when done by everyone together, can make a very big difference. I forgot where I heard this but there was a pretty lame argument against this campaign saying how ironic it is to hold these concerts which also contribute a lot of CO2 to campaign for everyone to reduce CO2 emissions.
It's funny how these ppl are so skeptical bt such movements eh. I watched a big part of the concerts and I'll have to say the scale of this movement is MASSIVE. All those short snippets reminding us of the little things we can do daily to help reduce CO2 emissions was played by stars all over the world, Al Gore going from place to place telling everyone to pledge themselves to the movement. I'm sure it is very useful as the concerts will attract the teens to watch it and get brainwashed by the "propaganda" eh.
It got pretty irritating when I din get to see the stars I wanted to watch lar, and the snippets were played very often. Full marks for the efforts by everyone and the graphic designers who came up wif those stuff for the movement cos I tot they were very nice ;)
