thx to the nice caucasian lady...

Just another dull boring school day, wif the rain keeping the haze in check it wasn't tt bad. Another 2hr MLE lecture in the morn which left me wondering what I've learnt from tt 2hrs. Most of the time I was more like trying to understand the lecturer than what I'm supposed to learn.

After an early lunch(which I have everyday), decided to attempt maths tutorial 9 which was disastrous. I really "read dead books" eh, can never do well in application questions, kinda sad really. My poor grade for critique is really affecting me esp my morale but hope I'll get over it soon eh, ha.

On my way home, I decided to get some stuff at Clementi NTUC and ended up with just a packet of orange juice. At the queue, I was wondering why that caucasian lady seemed to stare at my packet of orange juice in my hand for a split moment, but acted as though I didn't notice, lol. When she reached the cashier, she surprised me by gesturing for me to pay first. Very nice of her really, she had a basketful of stuff and since I only had 1 item, she allowed me to go first. First time I ever experienced this wor, there were countless times I only had 1 item and had to wait in queue while this person in front had lotsa items.

That really made my day eh, wasn't expecting it and what a pleasure it is to be on the receiving end of kindness. I'm sure she felt good as well when I thanked her. Singapore was rather ranked pathetically in a recent Readers' Digest survey on courtesy eh. Maybe everyone should do their own part in correcting that. A little gesture goes a long way...
